What is the Virtual Internship Program?

Seidea in collaboration with Mosse Security Institute & SheSecuresare offering 12 Black and Minority Ethnic Women access to a remote internship program and certification. The ‘remote internship’ has been designed to empower women who share our passion for cybersecurity. This training curriculum delivers the skills to bridge the gap between knowledge acquired from a college or university with the practical skills employers expect their team to possess. Mosser Security internship will equip you with the skills to be a valued member of any industry technology or security team and provide the rigor to research and deliver appropriate technology solutions. The next program starts July 2022 and the application cycle will start May 2022.

How does the Virtual Internship work?

The MCSI Remote Internship program is delivered 100% online. The internship teaches skills that can immediately be applied in the field and help you secure that first job.
The internship is part-time and flexible (12 hours a week). The duration of the internship is 6 months, after which you will be paired with a mentor for a period of 3 months. The program also includes monthly career development sessions to help you enter the cybersecurity industry. ** Please note that although this program is free for applicants, shortlisted interns are not paid for the duration of the internship.

Will I get a Certification?

Upon completion of the training program, you will receive an industry-recognized Certificate.

Will I be able to get a Job reference after the program?

The 12 Women chosen for the program who have successfully completed thier internship will be able to get a job reference letter from Seidea.

What will I learn?

Some of the skills you’ll learn from completing this remote internship program: Perform network vulnerability scans Exploit vulnerabilities with Metasploit Identify and exploit web application vulnerabilities without tools Write custom offensive security tools to aid Red Teaming operators Assess the security settings of Windows machines and harden them Hunt for malware using YARA Hunt for threat actors on Windows networks using Python Defend web applications against common vulnerabilities

What are we looking for?

We are not looking for experts, what we look for in applications is the willingness to learn cybersecurity and a strong self-awareness on your career aspiration.

When is the next application round?

This program runs annually, the dates for the 2022 Cohort will be available May 2022.

How will I be supported?

The chosen candidates will have monthly sessions with Seidea and SheSecures in which they will be able to talk about thier concerns and areas of development.
